forreal though a lot (though not all) of older people seem to refuse to understand means of interaction where people get to exercise their consent instead of just having to accept their presence
@ldopa I never answer the door. Haven't for many years.
I also never lock it.
Friends, and people I expect, know to simply walk in.
Anyone knocking or ringing the bell is a cop or selling something.
Or they can leave a note. Or send an email like a normal person ;-)
